2K и Gearbox Software объявили дату выхода второго сюжетного дополнения для Borderlands 4 — Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort. Оно станет доступно 10 сентября и добавит в игру новую сюжетную линию, тропическую локацию, противников, добычу и вторую Искательницу Хранилищ.

События дополнения развернутся на отдаленном острове Провиденс, расположенном рядом с действующим вулканом. Когда-то курорт был создан для избранных Хранителем Времени, однако теперь его превратили в поле боя. Корпорация Tediore отправила сюда экспедицию, чтобы завладеть ценным ресурсом ордонитом. Игрокам предстоит объединиться с FL4K, знакомым поклонникам Borderlands 3, и спасти его верного скага по имени Мистер Чу.

Tediore выставит против игроков целую армию. Среди противников будут солдаты в экзоскелетах, продолжающие сражаться даже после уничтожения органической части тела, а также тяжелые мехи с различными видами вооружения. Последние способны усиливать союзников и призывать подкрепления прямо во время боя. Локация сделана с упором на вертикальность. Передвигаться по джунглям можно будет с помощью зиплайнов, позволяющих быстро забираться над кронами деревьев, искать новые позиции и получать преимущество в сражениях. Еще одним эксклюзивным занятием Providence станут рейды на серверы дигиверса Tediore — игроки смогут проникать в цифровое пространство и уничтожать волны врагов ещё до того, как те материализуются в реальном мире.

За исследование острова можно будет получить новую мощную экипировку, включая две жемчужные пушки и 18 легендарных предметов.

Главным новым персонажем дополнения станет Лавлес — бывшая хакерша Anshin, превратившаяся в убийцу.
